Roger Miller Photography – Machu Picchu Guard House

RMI MP House in Mist

In February, I took a trip to Peru and had an amazing experience. At first, we were hesitant to book a trip to Machu Picchu since it was the rainy season. Eventually, we decided we couldn’t pass up the chance to see it. We didn’t regret our choice. It was extremely cloudy when we got there (Around 7:00 am) SO much that any vista was just a wall of grey. As the day rolled on, the clouds rolled in and out, and we were given tremendous views of the ruins and the incredible mountains beyond.

This photo was taken from the ruins, looking up towards the “Guard House” section of the city. I think it captures the sort of mystic sense of Machu Picchu.
